Central Park bound, Emile got engaged!! My big sister who I love so much is now soon to be ;) Congrats! Dan the man of the hour did such a lovely job setting up the whole proposal and got me to shoot behind the scenes sniper style! Course I had to add my own special touch, cause I find any excuse to rock out my wigs. Turned blonde and went undercover to shoot this lovely NEW beginning! God bless you guys! Love you!

Today I shot with Megan Black, who's signed with Fenton Moon. I worked with the lovelies Laura on makeup, Chantelle designer and Numi on hair. We had 2 looks we wanted to execute and Im really excited about these and really happy with how they turned out! Its a rare occasion a great team happens & I'm glad it did for me today. Ive worked with many amazing people, but today just made me feel super inspired! Did I mention it was 40 degrees out with 40mph winds... we took it inside due to the rain, but went outside on the rooftop for some quick shots. Special thanks to Armah for letting me use his crib once again!

I'm currently working on a project, its a self illustration of emotions. This isn't just a personal, more conceptual project, but also for those who deals with each emotion differently. Ill explain how I portray each emotion through a photograph. I want this project to mean something... conceptual photography to me tells a story so you can interpret it anyway you'd like. I'm pushing myself to do thing out of the box, put myself out there in uncomfortable ways. For an example, most of the emotions your going to see are going to be raw, I'm not going to edit any imperfection I have.

I had a blast thinking up & planning this shoot, its been in the works for a while now & I finally accomplished it with an awesome team of hair stylist, makeup artist, model and designer. Ill be shooting an idea again this weekend that I'm really excited about as well. For this shoot I bought 25 gold fishes & a mini pool, it started to rain, so we ended up shooting inside. Love all the shots!

Miss Lovely Joanna Briggs, I first came across her photography probably 2years ago on Flickr. Ive come across many fine talent on Flickr & I love how we all maintain friendships online and appreciation for each others work. I admire Miss Joanna, very humble & down to earth girl. Its going to be super fun when Carol, my sister, Joanna and I travel to New York in June. Im looking forward to the experience! Find more of Joanna's work here.

Here we go:

1. Name? Age? How long (have you been a photographer)? Located?
My name is Joanna Briggs, I've been a photographer for about 4 years now, I live in the West Midlands, UK and work in London.

2. What led you to photography & why?
It was a happy accident. When Myspace was all the rage, I started taking self portraits to put up and discovered I really enjoyed it. Then I studied fine art at college and the tutors encouraged me to put more of my time and creativity into it (also because I'm not very good at drawing!) From there it became a real passion for me.

3. If you weren't a photographer, what would you be?
I would love to be a singer. Either a folk singer or working in musical theatre. Music has always been my first love but I never had the confidence to pursue it professionally.

4. What inspires you?
So many things! Music, poetry, beautiful scenery, films, fashion, etc. Particularly with my self portraits, my mood plays a huge part in the feel of the image.

5. What is your ritual before every shoot (preparation)?
I don't really have one.. just make sure everything is charged and working! Sometimes I like to make moodboards for the concept I'm going for but a lot of the time I just come up with the concepts on the day with the team so in that case there isn't much planning to be done. I think I prefer doing it that way, it feels more organic.

6. If you could shoot any famous model/celebrity who would it be?
Camilla Belle. She has such a striking, unique beauty.

7. What is your favorite place to shoot?
Beautiful outdoor locations. I love nature and especially love shooting with water in the background but don't often get the chance to do that.

8. If you had the whole world listening, what would you tell them about your photography?
My photography is a way of creating my own fantasy world. A way of escaping reality, expressing my desires and capturing something so beautiful in that moment. My photos are a way for people to look into my personality, get an idea of how I'm feeling, who I really am and what I want. I'm a shy person so this is my way of talking when I can't find the words.

As an artist I have the pleasure of knowing & seeing some awesome work through out my time in varies different online sites. I'm now starting something Id like to call Creative Activity basically interviews with photographers, artists, musicians & anything that screams art & expression every week on my blog! I'm excited because I already have a list of awesome people that amaze me everyday to interview & showcase their work for others to see.

First up, Diana Pinto... I've known Diana's work since I started Flickr back in 2006, a community for photographers & artists to share their art with the world & receive feedback. You can find Diana's work here.

Lets begin:

1. Name? Age? How long (have you done photography)?
My name is Diana Pinto, I am 18 years and 7 months old, and I've been doing photography for almost 7 years.

2. Could you tell us about the stories behind the images you produce?
My pictures are mainly up to interpretation, or so I believe. I hardly ever know the clear story on any of my pictures! I consider a lot of my work to be performance...but if I were to describe my aesthetic, I believe I try to bring the darkness out of every day while simultaneously working to create another reality. I either photograph beautiful things or try to completely deconstruct beauty.

3. What is your ritual before every self portrait shoot?
My ritual usually consists of a mad, frantic scramble to get a picture done! This means setting up props, makeup, outfits, and shooting test shots. Most of the time I start with just picking up my camera and shooting anything anywhere in my house to see what ideas pop up. A huge percentage of my work is improvised within hours of shooting the final product, and the few pieces that I do have planned out from the beginning typically end up different from my original idea. This is why I could never make a profession from shooting other people!

4. What inspires you?
Americana, especially the Old and Deep South, many different periods and events in history, places, television (it doesn't rot your brain if you put it to good use!), music videos, lace, Victoriana and Edwardiana, Pre-Raphaelite painters, old old photographs, musicals, damsels in distress, exploitation and submission of women (on a pure entertainment level, I don't try to push feminist agendas), smut, paraphilias and dirty old men, and all the things about myself that I'm to ashamed to ever let people know. These things are like air to me, but they might not be obvious in my work.

5. Who are three other photographers you think are amazing!?
That's always such a difficult question! I follow the work of many people who not only are immensely talented but are just all-around great people. Chances are that if you've a nasty personality I won't like your work no matter how amazing you are. Picking three favorite photographers is like trying to pick three friends!

7. If you had the time, what else would you do?
I would love to spend time exploring America, where I live and whose history and culture endlessly fascinates me, and Italy, my country of heritage. I have often seen both places but have yet to delve into them as deeply as I'd like.

8. If you had the whole world listening what would you say about your photography?
I'd tell people that photography isn't a hobby for me, it's part of my identity. In fact, it's my second identity because it has such a life of its own. I don't care if I'll never make a cent off my pictures: as long as it's part of my life and I receive some sort of emotional validation for it, I'm happy as can be!

52 Weeks Project: Week 8 - Spring

Here comes the Florida extra sunny weather, sometimes I hate it, sometimes I love it. Its been really warm these past 2 weeks. I can sense Summer already! I'm slackin' on my New York trip... just due to unexpected things happening, such as my car breaking..trying to sell it as is for a cheap price & trying to find a car! MONEY MONEY MONEY... You know how the song goes, Donald Trump sings very well. Anyways.. Here is week 8 of my 52 week project. I also wanted to say that I decided to give Google AdWords a try, lets see how that goes. I did see my ad on google, quiet proud actually hahah :) With that being said, Im accepting weddings & photoshoots of any kind for this year! Message me for more info on prices!

DIY Headband (Inspired by Joanna B)

First Id like to thank Joanna for posting up such an awesome diy tutorial. I'm a sucker for headbands & since they are like $7-10 each, I figured why the heck not do it myself? My first attempt wasn't very solid.. I should have made the braid thicker, but again first attempt.

Here we go.

I braided extensions that my mom had, again should have cut off a thicker piece.

I have millions of buttons & such so I used that to connect the ends of each braid (extension) using a needle with black thread, since I have brown hair.

As you can see, I choose 2 buttons, it can be sequins & other things too.

Using your needle & thread connect the end of the braid (extensions) with black elastic so it can be stretched when you put it on.

Ghettofied, but whatever lol. You can cut the hair that's coming out of the buttons, but I figured Id leave it.

End result, deff wanted the braid thicker.

Brought back my lil Rebel of a Canon in the bathroom :)

Goodness me, Cherry Bomb by The Runaways is stuck in my head! Anyways week 7 of Project 52. Yes, I say I'm way behind every single post. But I do promise by the end of the yr I'll have 52 photos :)

Nothing much new is happening, I'm turning 20 this Saturday. I'm working on test shoots for my portfolio & enjoying my time! I saw Remember Me with Mr. Rob Pattinson and may I say! WOWOWOWOW amazing, powerful movie! Really a beautiful truthful story & not to mention that Roberts acting is PHENOMENAL! A MUST watch.

Valentines Day is tomorrow and lets just be zen shall we? :) I have a awesome boyfriend & we are going to go to the fair ( since its only here for 12 days and tomorrow is the last day ) & off to watch Valentines Day :) I'm pretty excited. I'm also shooting a wedding in the AM so my V day celebration will take place later on!

Inregards to Valentines Day... Ive had my share of lonely years and it doesn't have to be lonely and bitter. As a matter of fact, the bitter ones are the ones who's really just pissy that they don't have a valentine. But rest assure that you can have fun on Valentines day w the single friends you got as well :) Heck what am I babbling on about I sound like a psychologist... a bad one that is.

52 Weeks Project: Week 1 - Embrace.

Doing a photo every week and blogging about it! Its less than a 365days 1 photo a day project, but this is what I think I can handle for right now and I'm excited about it!

Someone turned 20...

Neto turned 20 Jan 4th and now that I think about it I turn 20 in March ... scary thought for me... 2 decades, feel like I could have done so much more, but it is what it is and I guess I should embrace it. Wish I can pause on 19, at least till I feel ready enough to say that I'm 20. In reality that wont happen...sometimes I feel anxious and a lil crazy..but I should be thankful! In life its one step at a time and I'm excited.

I can feel it! to start off, lets blog about something I should have blogged last year when I shot it! I worked with the talented E Marie designer and shot my first bathing suit shots, which are quiet tasteful if I can say so myself. I also worked with Di, gorgeous unique model and Jenny (Makeup Artist) everyone did an amazing job and we came out with great images. Special thanks to Carol Plymill for assisting and helping out! Merry Christmas Eve and Day!

So this week I only had to work Monday and the rest of the week I have off. Today we are going to church at 6:30pm than off to a good friends house for food and fun. Than on the 25th in the morning we open presents as a family!

Today my little sister got her Christmas present early... Shes been begging for a dog for a long time now, so we got her a mini poodle.. its so cute! :) When asked what she wanted to name the puppy, she replied, "Miley Cyrus" haha.

Since we are all getting ready for church and the party... I had to brush out my curls after washing it and straighten it, before that I decided to go outside and a mini self portrait shoot...

As I have mentioned I loved perfect buck teeth! And I love Kristen's unique face. I don't know why, but I just love her look.

1. I had really blonde hair when I was little... altho I cant find a picture right now, here are some fun ones of me younger ;)

2. My full name is Hortencia Sousa Caires, its actually Hydrangea in English. My Grandma had a bunch of them planted in her backyard so they decided it be my name. That or that famous basketball player in Brazil who broke her leg? lol

3. I have a terrible habit of biting not only my nails, but the skin around it, the cuticles everything.

4. I have 3 siblings. Pamela 7yrs old, Moses 10 yrs old, Emile 24 yrs old.

5. I have lived in America almost 12 yrs. I got here when I was 8 years old and I speak Portuguese and English... but my Portuguese is getting rusty, I need to practice!

6. I love the Twilight Saga, but ya'll already knew that :) I love vintage hair *coughs* Robert Pattinson. And I love perfect buck teeth *coughs* Kristen Stewart.

7. Im currently working as a nanny, but still wanna pursue my photography dreams. Thats first for me.

8. Big Fan of Smallville, I love Tom Welling and all the cast members and the general story of superman.

Lets begin.

1. Guys with good fashion sense or better yet guys that are creative enough to play with their style. I love things that make NO sense and I love when things are mixed up and in the end it looks like a great outfit!

2. Lil necklace cameras! I love them! They are so cute..Im going to be purchasing them just because it shows my personality. They are very vintage and I especially love the silver ones.

3. Minnie mouse ears. I got these recently...Im weird I buy random things that would be cool to shoot with. In this case it would lol. Im going to be shooting some self portraits with them.. Idk if I wanna twist minnies cuteness yet w some crazyness, we shall see!

4. Forever 21 outfits. I love this one especially and I want those shoes!! I love tights with skirts that goes well if your like me and your mommy will kill you if you wear short skirts... I always add leggings or tights. I want the cold weather to come already tho!

5. Funky heels and crazy tights. I have a tendency of cutting my tights because I think it looks better and it adds edge and I have way to many black heels, but I cant help it.

6. Vans. I want all the colors of the rainbow in vans :)

Webcam Fun

Hello,

Haven't blogged in a while and wanted to kinda get into it more.. Maybe add some random everyday fun, personal and professional posts to this blog. Last week was my first week as a nanny! I nanny 2 kids and it was tough work, but I love kids so I enjoyed it a lot :) Kudos to the moms out there! Today is labor day and I didn't have work, but tomorrow it starts again! I'm pretty happy about starting a full time job! It only means more equipment for photography! I haven't been setting up shoots in a while and I need to go back to that. So I scheduled a shoot for the last week of Sept. a bathing suit shoot to be exact... I'm really excited about that.

I wanna start putting ideas together for more shoots in the future! This weekend I have a 80's party to go to so I bought a few things to add to my 80's dress Neto bought me for my birthday a while back ago. haha This shall be interesting.

Anyways here are some dorky, yet hilarious shots of me being a crazy.

I had a spur of the moment decesion to go to camp this year and Im sure glad I did. I had a great time and it was a amazing! God really moved and showed up. It was a blast and Id recommend those who didnt come, should deff come next year! It was a much needed week of fun, love and God.

Ok.. I have over who knows how many accts, from personal myspace to business myspace, flickr, orkut, facebook, yahoo, msn, blogger, modelmayhem, photobucket and NOW a twitter haha. So that being said, I mostly check.. facebook/flickr/modelmayhem and yahoo and Im loving twitter.. I barely get on myspace prob once a week. Here is my facebook for random updates through twitter.. Ill be adding a lot of behind the scenes and random pics.

Hope everyone is well! Im finding out if Im staying HERE (USA grounds) or moving to Brazil next week hopefully by the end of next week. Im hoping to stay here and go to school and get a part time job or something and BOOOOOOOKK lots of shoots, but if God doesnt want that.. Im heading back home.. even tho I havent called it home for 11years now. Im sooo use to America. Anyways, as of right now Im not booking any shoots.. Im trying to focus on major planning for ideas and jotting down things that inspire me as well as self portraits with my boyfriend and some w out him :)

I don't believe in the old boring maternity shots, especially when the mommy (Zory) is a model. I shot this 2weeks ago and I never seen such a cute pregnant lady! She was the thinnest lil thing! I had soo much fun shooting her! I don't ever do nudes or implied, but for a maternity shoot? its very tasteful and innocent.

Busy Time

Last Monday I had a client shoot with Marissa, gorgeous girl! I actually had three shoots last week and Im recovering this week :) I have one shoot left to edit. I have been working nonstop to finish, because NEXT week I have 3 more shoots :D Anyways... Life is good! Im unsure if Im moving... I will find out the week of the 22nd for sure whats really going to happen.

I do wanna stay tho, just depends. I THINK Im going to start uploading my blog more often, maybe with 2-3 pics from each shoot, because I do upload them on flickr, facebook and sometimes myspace. Its kinda hard to keep up w every account.

Last Friday I had a great time shooting a model and makeup/ hair stylist from Modelmayhem! These 2 were so much fun! Total rocker chicks. We had a blast and got some amazing images! I actually rented a studio for an hour or so and they had lots of props, Ill be going there more often. Im shooting again on the 18th and hopefully the 22nd, Im in love with the idea!

News Flash!

Wow what a week! Glad the house moving is over, I was never a fan of packing and unpacking and I've been doing a lot of that lately. I'm not moving Countries just yet, but we did move houses as well as offices. My families business has moved to a in home office. I now work from home and we also moved houses. Its a great location we have 1 acre of land in the back, huge backyard and a pool, great for parties :D hints the reason I havent been online much, fios guy came in today and our internet is finally up! 'Cause we all know Im a internet fanatic.

As for moving Countries? I'll be moving in May, I'm thinking May 23rd... Its not set in stone yet, but I'm thinking its the best day for it. Ive been pretty frustrated in regards to the move, things don't seem to get done, dealing with people 4,000miles away isn't very fun. Anyways I can say I'm thankful and I'm a lil scared like anyone would be, but I'm also happy. God is going to bless me tremendously. I will most definitely be having a going away party, donations welcomed haha :)

I'm still deciding on what college I'm going, but I have my heart set on one, that I love. Other than that, we moved houses and offices tuesday-friday (yes! we have that much stuff) But once it was over we hit the theme parks lol. Great weather over here, expect the occasional rain, which we need!

I don't know.. Today I decided to do something a lil bit different and do some self portraits, but not fashion or glamour.. something that I always do... But today I decided to do a more conceptual shoot.. It turns out that it was all so boring to me... nothing went as planned.. my room is a mess and I cant really do much in there because I rearranged it for other things.. Anyways I'm so bored with my self portraits and ideas. Yes I do take photos of others.. models, clients, etc.. But self portraits are dear to my heart because I started my learning that way and I like to go back to that and have fun with it. I don't know maybe today or tomorrow I'll try again. I hope I can achieve some great new photos.

ALL packed into one HUGE package...

Christmas eve was great, my church had a 45min service and it went great, after that we went to my boyfriends family's house. We hung out there, I gave him his present and we all had a blast. Christmas day we woke up ran to my parents room and opened presents, also very fun! We did secret Santa this year, Lil did my momma know that I got her and bought her the same camera as mine! Since she LOVES photography like me, I figure why not! She loved it!

On the 26Th at midnight, well technically 27Th we met with my boyfriends family to go to North Carolina, we arrived around 3pm and I was so tired! My family stayed in a cabin close to Boone and my Boyfriend stayed with his family in another cabin. The cabins were really nice, but 1hour away from the ski slopes, this year we only skied once, last year we went like 5times. I had a blast, met w my boyfriends family 2times, one on New Years Eve, we celebrated together. Went home on the 1st of Jan and arrived 1am Jan 2. Now here I am, vacation is over... my boyfriends birthday is tomorrow, well again technically today since its 12:10am Jan 4Th. Ya Ive been sleeping really late these days.

Photography is going good... I'm looking to do more paid shoots! Ask me about my rates and dates available... I have a shoot this Sunday, I'm pretty excited about that. A designer asked me to take photos of her clothes.. Ill be working w 2models (Christine and Tizza) and also a MUA (Makeup Artist) which is new for me because I'm usually the one to do makeup and fix everything. Its nice that its going to be a team and I'm sure my images will come out 3times better w the help of great people :D I also have a package going on now.. where you can book me and also get a MUA for your makeup.. I'm actually scared, yet excited. Things are super different there and even though I was born there... I haven't been there in 10years. I think everything will be fine, I pray God is in control and He will provide everything I need when I'm there. I'm happy to say my studio that I'm building in my room is finally coming along quite nicely. I just got myself a Beginner kit from Alien Bee's studio flash kits. It comes with a umbrella, stand and AB800 WATT strobe light. I figure I'll add more lights as I go and as of right now the AB800 is doing me justice. Anyway I tested it out and here is what I got!

Glenn Cummings and The Band

This past Saturday I did a shoot with Glenn Cummings and his guys for a band shoot. We went to several different locations such as Ybor, an old slaughter house, and a train track also located in Ybor city. I had a blast working with everyone, big thanks to my dad who came along w me for the shoot. The only downside was the rain, but it went awesome and I got some great shots! Hey guys! I'm back from Refuge youth camp.. and may I say, it was awesome. God's really been working in my life as well as everyones life at camp. We had a blast, better relationships, friendships and closer relationships w God were made. It felt awesome to be part of something so big. This year I was a counselor and its awesome what God does. Yesterday I did a shoot with my lovely friend Rachael, she's great to work with as a model, she does an awesome job every time. May I say, I have been super busy... I waited along time for things to finally start coming along for me, in the photography business as well some other business that... well if your my friends you would know. And things are actually starting to pick up and my hard work is finally paying off... or should I say my prayers... I know God is looking out for me and helping me every step of the way. Sometimes I get overwhelmed with just waiting for something to happen... There is a lot I go through... my situation is somewhat harder than most people, but I’m not comparing myself because I know I'm very blessed. God has blessed me and my family tremendously and I cant thank Him enough!

I'm really glad things are going good, even though I have SO MUCH to learn as a photographer, actually in every aspect of my life... I have great friends and family to help me and support me. I kinda sometimes think over future plans and I really don’t know what to do... I really wanna grow as a photographer as well as a person and its hard figuring out things. Something’s I really want, God is asking me to wait...which is extremely hard, seeing as if I've been waiting a pretty long time. Well hopefully things will fall into place soon... never been much of a patient person, sure learning tho. I've been a peaceful spirit this week...which is really odd for me, just because I'm a pretty loud and crazy person. Usually I cry and yell just to try to get things out, but this week surprisingly... I haven't been loud or crazy, I have been peaceful and silent. Something is missing and I don’t know what?

This past Sunday I had the pleasure of taking photos of 3 little ones... I'm trying to get some shots of kids/babies for my portfolio and website. I'm in the process of getting my website fixed by my lovely friend Emily Diniz. She's fixing it up and changing a few things to make it look more professional as well as more elegant and fun. Other than that, I have not been active lately because my computer was infected by a virus... but I think everything is back to normal now, the net was super slow and there were pop ups coming from every corner... So I downloaded a firewall and spyware software and I think it worked out great.. because I can finally go on the net and upload normally.

This past Wednesday, I did a shoot with two awesome girls, I know this cool place in my area with a broken down barn and unfortunately it will be the last time I'll be shooting there. The owner didn't like it very much and told us last time girls. I really liked the feel of the location, it was really cool and edgy. Other than that, I got amazing results from the shoot. The models names are Christine (I shot her before in a previous shoot) and her best friend Kirsten. They both did GREAT! I look forward to future shoots with them ;D

This past weekend I had the pleasure of taggling along with 2 amazing photographers, Brian and Briana with DL Weddings photography (http://www.dlweddings.com/). I had a great time and also learned alot from them. The whole expierence for me was really fun, rewarding and educational all at the same time. HEY! Yesterday I did a shoot with Christine and I think it turned out amazing, I still have many to edit, but I really like the results. I had to use my studio lights, which I am not a big fan of, but it did the trick. The next photoshoot will be outside in this really cool location I found in my area and Im pretty excited! I like natural light better just because I dont really have the MONEY for the whole nice studio, with great lights, etc. Then again who does? I mean I probably wanna gain a lot more clients before making a purchase that big and expensive. Plus I have no room at the moment... Im in a pretty tight space... Man! I've been so bored lately, which means I should be posting more blogs or posting more pictures on my online gallery..., but Im not. I've been really bored and tired, I really wanna do a couple of photoshoots, I cant be stopped or else I'll run out of ideas or grow bored, like I am now.

Tomorrow I have a scheduled photoshoot with a girl named Christine. I'm pretty excited, She's gorgeous... different then most models I worked with, but I think she'll do GREAT! I have some sorta of theme in mind, but we will see what happens after... Ill keep you guys posted. I've been wanting to do a GOT MILK? shoot for the longest time and I really just might do it tomorrow... we all know that smustache isnt actually milk... I bet its yogurt. I love Amanda Bynes and totally want to do her version of GOT MILK... I love the butterfly and her hair and facial expression!

What a coincidence, yesterday my family and I went to the Chinese place and picked up some Chinese food for diner. While we were all talking and having fun, I decided to crack open my fortune cookie... When I opened it, I laughed :D It stated, "Something nice is coming to you in the mail." Well its TRUE! Today I just received my Flash (Canon 430ex) I thought it was cute ;D I havent played around with it yet, 4 AA batteries isn't something I always find in the house, unless its in the PlayStation remote controllers and TRUST me, no one will let me touch those. I've been wanting this Flash for a wedding I'm doing on April 20 and I'm pretty excited to play with it and do a couple shoots with it to practice! I think that's all I need.. for right now that is .. hehe. I always find more things to buy when it comes to photography gear, my birthday is coming up in March and I think I'm going to ask for some actions, from either Lara Jade or Totally Rad actions, they seem pretty rad ;) Anyways other than the actions, I think I also want the Tamron 17-55mm f/2.8 for my Canon. I've been wanting a fast lens, I do have the 50mm f/1.8, but it doesn't give me much range, especially for wedding photography. Well if not this weekend, defiantly next weekend I'm going to do a a photoshoot with Rachael!

Hey Guys!

I've been thinking up some ideas to do on my next photoshoot... I have a model, her name is Rachael Pine and I've been wanting to do some shoots with some creative ideas I've been having. But Its so hard when people haven't finished school yet and I have because right now I work with natural light and school usually ends at 3:30pm and setting up and doing makeup takes time, so the lighting is horrible by the end of all the preporation.

Anyways, this here is a picture I took of Rachael from our last shoot and I was going through some old files and I figured I'd edit it and upload it to my flickr and also here. I really like how it turned out and everything. She's a great model, I have to do some more shoots with her, but like I said time is tight right now and everyone is always busy. I found this old barn place and I thought it would be great to do a shoot there! I didn't get to go inside, but from what I saw it looks pretty nice to do some crazy shoots, I love old, broken down places, it adds a little edgy and grundgey feel to the environment and photos. I've been trying to find old locations to do shoots, but over here in my area there isnt much options, but definatly Ybor, downtown somewhere there must be some cool locations. I also was thinking about male models? They are hard to come by and I really wanna expierenment with male models just because they are different than girls and I know what to say to female models when it comes to doing a shoot and posing. As for male models, I have no clue! I did do a shoot a while back ago with male models, one thing is for sure, they are so much easier to edit.

Hey everyone,

My name is Hortencia Caires and I'm a photographer, many people probably know who I am, but I figure I 'd take the time to introduce myself. I wanted to create a blog to keep anyone who is intersted, updated in my projects and shoots. As you may know I'm 17 years old self taught photographer, I have been doing photography for about 2 years now and I love it. I thank God for my special talent, some people say I'm good, but you be the judge of that.

I'll be turning 18 years old pretty soon on March 20th. I also wanna take the time to say, I wanna start my own photoshop actions, so thats exciting! I havent started yet, but I'll keep everyone posted and intuned when I get things ready, any ideas and input is welcomed.
